Hands-on marketing help for roofing companies

Roofer.Help is a working manual for people who own or run roofing companies in Canada. It answers the marketing questions that come up between jobs: why your Google Business Profile vanished, how to be ready when a windstorm rolls through, and how to talk about insurance work without crossing lines you shouldn't cross. Read the guides for free, or call us when you want the work handled.

Who this manual is for

It is for the owner who climbs ladders in the morning and answers the phone at night. If you run a crew of two to forty people doing re-roofs, repairs and the odd flat roof, the pages here are built around your week, not an agency's sales deck.

Most roofing owners we talk to have the same three headaches:

  • The map pack is a coin toss. Some weeks you show up for "roofer near me", some weeks you don't, and you can't tell why.
  • Storm weeks are chaos. The phone rings forty times, half the calls go to voicemail, and out-of-town crews with magnetic door signs take the work.
  • Insurance jobs feel risky to advertise. You know homeowners with claims need help, but you don't want to sound like a storm chaser or promise something an adjuster will reject.

Each of those has a practical fix. None of them needs a long contract.

What you will find here

Start with the guide that matches your biggest problem. Every guide gives numbered steps, checklists and the mistakes we see most often.

  1. The roofer's Google Business Profile manual covers naming, categories, service areas, photos and the policy traps that get roofing profiles suspended.
  2. The storm-season playbook walks through what to prepare in the quiet months, what to switch on in the first 48 hours after severe weather, and what to shut off afterwards.
  3. Insurance-work marketing basics shows how to describe your role honestly when a homeowner has a claim, and lists the phrases that should never appear in your ads.

If you would rather have someone run it, the services page explains each piece of hands-on help and how to choose between them.

A quick worked example

Small profile fixes can pay for themselves fast. Here is a simple calculation you can redo with your own numbers.

Say your average residential re-roof brings in $14,000 and your gross margin on it is 30%, so each job leaves about $4,200 to cover overhead and profit. If you close one in four qualified calls, you need four extra calls to win one extra roof. Fixing a keyword-stuffed business name, adding a clean service area and asking every finished customer for a review might bring in four extra calls a month in a decent season. That is roughly $4,200 of gross margin a month from work that costs you a few hours.

Your numbers will differ. The point is to measure calls and booked inspections, not clicks, and to decide what a call is worth before you spend money chasing more of them.

How we work, and what we won't do

We are a marketing and business consulting team, not a roofing contractor. We don't inspect roofs, write estimates, install anything, deal with adjusters or knock on doors. Our job is to make sure the homeowners already looking for a roofer find you, trust you and call you.

There are also tactics we refuse to run, even in a storm week:

  • ads made to look like weather warnings or government notices
  • "free roof" or "we'll handle your deductible" offers
  • fake urgency, such as countdown timers on inspections
  • reviews bought, swapped or filtered so only happy customers are asked

Those shortcuts break Google's advertising rules and can draw the attention of the Competition Bureau. Our insurance-work service explains the honest alternative.

Proof from our HVAC work

We don't have roofing case studies to show you yet, so we show results from our HVAC work instead and explain what carries over. The methods are the same ones roofers need: a strong profile, steady reviews and fast response when demand spikes.

  • CanroHeat.ca grew leads by 250%.
  • GasBoilers.ca is the gas-boiler division we built for CANRO Heat; it covers 26+ BC communities and carries a 5.0★ rating from 76+ Google reviews.
  • BCWide.ca tripled its leads in 90 days.

The results page goes through each one and what a roofer can borrow from it.

How it works

  1. Tell us what is broken

A suspended profile, a dead phone in July, a storm week you weren't ready for. Describe it in a few lines, with your service area and crew size.

  2. Get a written fix list

We send back a short, ranked list: what to fix this week, what to build before the next storm season, and what to stop paying for.

  3. Decide who does the work

Use the list yourself, or have us run it on a month-to-month plan. Call, text or email; you'll talk to a senior strategist.

Frequently asked questions

What is Roofer.Help?

Roofer.Help is a Canadian marketing help desk for roofing company owners, run by Sedighi.ca, the company led by Ali Sedighi, MBA. We publish practical guides and offer hands-on marketing support for Google Business Profile, storm-season campaigns, reviews and insurance-related pages.

Do you do roofing work or inspections?

No. We are a marketing and business consulting service. We never inspect, install, repair or estimate roofs, and we never contact homeowners as if we were a roofer.

Do you give insurance or legal advice?

No. We help you explain your own process clearly and honestly to homeowners who have a claim open. Policy questions belong with the homeowner's insurer, and contract or payment questions belong with your lawyer.

How much does it cost?

The guides on this site are free. Done-for-you plans through Trades.Agency start at $1,999 a month month-to-month, or $1,499 a month on annual billing, plus GST/HST based on your province (GST and QST in Quebec).

Can you help a small crew, not just big companies?

Yes. Many of the fixes in our guides cost nothing but an afternoon, such as correcting a Google Business Profile name or setting up a review request text. We will tell you honestly if a paid plan doesn't make sense for your size yet.

Where do you work?

Everywhere in Canada. We are headquartered in Vancouver, BC, and work with roofers in all ten provinces and the three territories. Roofing owners can consult with us by video call or in person.
